Within the scope of the 4th Fotofestival Mannheim_Ludwigshafen_Heidelberg, the Portfolio Review on September 9/10, 2011, constituted a highlight of our festival program!
The Portfolio Review provided the opportunity for an effective exchange between photographers and selected photography experts and was directed at upper-division students, art school graduates, as well as freelance artists and photographers.
In three twenty-minute one-on-one conversations, participants enter into a fascinating dialogue with curators, publishers, gallery owners, and art critics. They received feedback and encouragement and furthermore had the opportunity to establish important contacts for their further development.
After the portfolios had been reviewed, the reviewers determine their favorites. Within the scope of the 4th Fotofestival, the first three favorites will now be presented in their own exhibition at the Print Media Academy in Heidelberg. The Fotofestival supports the organization of this exhibition with a production grant of €500 for each of the three artists. In addition, myphotobook.de provides the first favorite with a €1,000 gift certificate toward the production of photo books!
